I've learned that acceptance plays a huge roll in
overcoming your fears. Instead of letting my thoughts consume me, I've learned
to accept them. Once the thoughts are accepted you can start to move on.
I recently read, "You Are a Badass" by
Jen Sincero, and wow. I've never been one for "self help" books, but
this felt like I was just taking advice from an old friend I'd never met. It
got me to realize-
What's the worst that could happen?
Honestly? The worst
that could happen is that nothing happens. Failure is a part of life. Sometimes
you try and you fail. Sometimes you try again...and you fail again. It's just
how this thing of life goes. I've been applying for internships for about a
month now. I want to push
myself. I want to go out of my comfort zone, and just do. Do anything I set my
mind to. I don't know what lies ahead, but I'm done floating so at least there's that.
